PM: The only state and party that occupied Georgian territories is the Russian Federation; this was a crime against Georgia and our people

“Naturally, the only state and the only party that carried out the occupation of Georgian territories is the Russian Federation; this is a plain and simple fact,” Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to the Head of Government, the Russian Federation occupied 20 per cent of Georgia’s territory, which constituted a crime against the Georgian state.

“As far as the occupation is concerned, everything is crystal clear. Countless statements have been made on this, and it requires no further questioning. Of course, the Russian Federation carried out the occupation of 20 per cent of Georgian territory, which was a crime against the Georgian state and our people; it is a blatantly obvious crime committed against the Georgian state and the Georgian people. First came the occupation, and after that was the so-called recognition,” declared Irakli Kobakhidze.
